Hi, I’m Abby.

I guess you're here to find out a little about what I've done over the past nine years to get me to where I am now - with a private home studio in South Yorkshire and a growing reputation within the beauty and bridal industry - and if you're not here for that, you're probably looking for the good stuff over on The Makeup Menu (aren't we all?!). 

In short, I'm a Makeup Artist and HD Brow stylist covering all the best occasions Yorkshire has to offer! Proms, festivals, baby showers, brides; or knowing some of my clients, just a bottomless brunch in the city...

...But if you want the long story (short), I graduated with a Design Degree from Goldsmiths University and before moving back to Yorkshire I worked at the Benefit Cosmetics flagship store, then M.A.C Cosmetics in the hustle and bustle of Stratford, London - always a M.A.C girl at heart.

Let's skip to the good bits - I was part of the creative team at Beauty Bay just before taking my studio full-time; producing, art directing, model casting, set designing and what a learning curve! Then comes my little business, my reputation as a make-up artist grew faster than I would ever imagine to the point where I had to finally bite the bullet and leave my full-time job at Beauty Bay in 2019 to become a self-employed Make-up Artist. I was awarded Yorkshire's Regional Highly Commended at The Wedding Industry Awards 2020 and after collaborating with Nouveau Lashes and HD Brows, I recently had my work featured in Grazia Online *yikes*.

2020-2021 for most people was a very tough year. If it hadn't been for the pandemic I would never have managed to grow my social media and connect with such a wonderful community of people. After two years in the making, I finally had the time to conceptualise, produce and launch my own cosmetics brand, In Your Face Cosmetics.

Now, I'm thrilled to share that I have been awarded TWIA (The Wedding Industry Awards) Makeup Artist of the Year for Yorkshire and the North East 2023. It's an honor to be recognised for my work and dedication within the industry.

Above all the fancy stuff - content creating, influencer events, shaping those brows and getting everyone glam, I put my all into this business and I genuinely love what I do. I work hard to leave every client feeling beyond their best and there's nothing that makes my job more worthwhile than being at the side of my brides on 'the big day' (well, the cuppas and chats in the studio come close, of course). And that’s the long story (...short).
